English term

Employee and Consumer Advocates

English to Japanese Law/Patents Law (general)
I've translated "Employee and Consumer Advocates" as "従業員および消費者擁護者" but this doesn't appear in Google results.

"Advocates" here stands for "defender or supporter or protector". So, the meaning is "defenders or supporters or protectors of the employees and consumers."

Is there a better option on how to translate it into Japanese?

Discussion

Port City Apr 2, 2022:
消費者保護団体 is fine, but 保護団体 or 支援団体 for employees sounds like a labour union. "労働者支援・消費者保護に関わる人たち" or its variation may work.
David Gibney Apr 1, 2022:
"団体" won't work with "従業員" because the nuance is lost. It's any group of employees. "従業員保護団体" is also problematic. I think you have to strike a balance between what the English says and what sounds natural in Japanese, but I don't see any issue with "擁護者". I think this issue is with the nuance of 従業員. It might be a better idea to use "労働者の擁護者".

従業員および消費者の支援者

I don't see a problem with "擁護" but I think it has a more specific legalistic nuance in Japanese that "advocate" does not have in English.
"支援者" would be more commonly used in this sense as a supporter or defender of people's rights.

従業員および消費者(保護)団体

Advocates usually get together and defend/support/protect someone as a group. You could simply put 消費者団体 as per Keidanren's guidebook with its url provided below.
Example sentence:

 加えて、消費者、政府・地方公共団体、消費者団体、NPO・NGOなどとも適宜連携しながら、企業・業界団体として、消費者の啓発活動などにも取り組むよう努める。(see p.4 Chapter 5-1)

消費者保護団体
