Why Interpretation/translation?
Interpretation is a mere passion and gift to me. My first full-time job in the U.S. was a public computer trainer with the Bill and Melinda Gate’s Foundation. Among all the 30 trainers, I was the only one who spoke English as second language. Though I never get chance to work as a professional interpreter/translator, since I had been working full time in IT field since I graduated in 1999; I find myself doing tons of volunteer work in interpreting/translating for my friends and churches in the past thirteen years. I take great joy in helping people express their thoughts and finding the information they need. I am a people person always love to help.
Why now?
Earlier 2003, may family moved from New Orleans to Seattle. At that time, my baby was only ten-month old and I decided to take my best job ever as a full time mom. Now, I am ready to work part-time with flexible hours, and I realize that now I have the opportunity to go with my passion for interpreting and translation work. One nice thing about interpretation is that when you talk to me, you will have a good idea about my language skills. Try me.
