wet rooms/ rooms with plumbing

'Wet rooms'is the commonly used term for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, etc., but as Rebecca points out, this now also often used for a special type of bathroom. 'Rooms with plumbing' is an acceptable alternative.

... Electrical Code in kitchens, bathrooms, laundries-and in any other rooms with plumbing. ...
kitchens, exterior waterproof outlets, garage outlets, and "wet areas". ...

Another option would be
\'wet rooms (kitchens, bathrooms, etc.)\'

agree Security : "Rooms with plumbing", leave it as non-specific as possible (unless of course document refers elsewhere to "Wet room"!)

thanks
agree Rebecca Hendry : "Rooms with plumbing" would work well I think, because it encompasses all rooms that could have a sink, so utility rooms and some bedrooms as well as kitchens and bathrooms.

agree tazdog (X) : rooms with plumbing...I'd avoid wet rooms because of what Rebecca pointed out

wet room

In contrast to your standard bathroom with a carpet and a bath, wet rooms have no furniture and the floor is waterproof, usually plastic membrane.

kitchens and bathrooms

It is referring to all rooms which have water piped into them - so the kitchen and bathrooms.

A wet room is a special type of bathroom and I don't think it's what is meant here. See wet rooms here http://www.home-improvement.co.uk/bathroom_wetrooms.htm

Thank you Neilmac.
neutral Michele Fauble : All rooms with plumbing, which may include laundy rooms, mud rooms, etc., and even other types of "wet rooms" if it is a commercial building.

Precisely what I just commented on your answer! Thanks Michele : )
agree Arcoiris : I think it means all room where you can get water from a tap (kitchen, bathroom, laundry, etc) Potentially all room in a house can have water piped through them for the central heating, but that doesn't make them wet rooms

Spanish term (edited): cuarto hmedo

wet area

Rather than room, I beleive the correct technical term in this case is area. From the Penguin dictionary of bulding.

a wet area is a room, such as a bathroom or shower, with water-resistant finishings, such as tiling.

Wet Areas
Kitchens, bathrooms and laundries are known as 'wet' areas and need special protection from steam and moisture. In these areas an easily cleaned surface is desirable.

Splashbacks can be used in many residential and commercial applications. Glass splashbacks are used in kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and other wet areas.
