To Lesley: The question mark is included in the original text. In fact it is the title heading. so as ѧʿԴ˹ͬ.

To all experts: Thank you for all your advise and help. Previously i was thinking can pugilist realm refer to since the title was martial arts related. Anyone have any insights?

武当七星剑阵重出江湖?是反问句 rhetorical question -> Will 武当七星剑阵 1 appear once more in/on...?
2 reappear in/on...?
3 once again appear (in the world, in the countryside, among the folk of the highways and byways)?

I am not sure that my dictionaries cover the martial arts subculture adequately. The best answer may come from others who know this field and its language well 熟悉这个领域.

How to translate "笑傲江湖"?Thanks in advance.
agree chica nueva : 'by rivers and lakes'(ie all over the country) - perhaps you might need to explain this idiom/metaphor...?/you are very patient Chinoise. 我对武术是文盲. I now find this 江湖 is a common term and idea in martial arts, as in 威震江湖 etc.

has re-emerged within martial arts community...

This text implies that something has not been seen for a long time. I think instead of a literal translation, maybe a contextual translation would work just as well.
Peer comment(s):

agree chica nueva : yes, it seems 江湖 = 武林 = the martial arts community, as in 威震江湖,威震武林等, am I right?
15 hrs
yes, although I have seen it used to refer loosely the country at large, but I think in this text, it refers exclusively to the martial arts community.

a respected figure in the martial arts world

重出江湖 reappear on the scene

虽然简单但是也贴切,只要你把"重出江湖"当作“四方各地”而不是“一种谋生的行业”
A little colloquial but conveys the message, if you take 江湖 to mean “all corners of the country”and not “a particular trade".

武学界人士a respected figure in the martial arts world
Peer comment(s):

agree chica nueva : Looks quite good to me too, seems 江湖could stand for 'martial arts circles', but 'on the scene' might work very well.

thanks for your comment, Lesley !
