: this is the correct term. Medical wards can then be divided according to specialty, such as respiratory ward, but in this case it is medical ward.

: Aren't all wards medical wards? Seems to be tautologous to me, and I am suspicious that as there is no precise word for ward in Finnish the dictionaries may be wrong.
