Italian term

coassiale

Italian to English Other Textiles / Clothing / Fashion luxe
Each bag is lavishly adorned with hand embroidery, coassiale trim, and appliqués of exotic leather...

This is about handbags, and while my translation is from English into French, I can't go much further unless I get what this word means. It evokes "coaxial" to me, but I'm wondering what they mean, and how to translate it into the proper English word?
Thank you for your help.

piping

Like you I am puzzled, it looks like an Italian word used in America to mean goodnes knows what. I have suggested "piping" as the type of trimming sometimes used to embellish seams.
Peer comment(s):

agree Shera Lyn Parpia : piping is a kind of trim with a cord inside the fabric, stitched into a seam between two layers - if it's leather it's quite possible that it contains a wire inside, so I think you are right
