OK, je vois ce que vous voulez dire.
Je ne vois pas d'expression française susceptible de rendre exactement le sens de l'expression anglaise (ou plutôt américaine puisqu'elle est apparemment d'origine américaine).
Dans cette phrase, je pense qu'on pourrait dire "sans aucune retenue" ou "sans aucun tabou" mais c'est peut-être aller un peu loin dans l'explicitation...

Vos propositions me semblent correctes. Mais si vous voulez garder l'image, voici une idée.
J'ai vu aussi: tomber au fur et à mesur.

alea jacta est
This is a common Latin idiom used in French.
Alea jacta est = le sort en est jeté.
This could be added to advienne que pourra, or any other expression you choose.

Maybe it was true in the 1800s that this expression was joined to a statement that one should do what is right - but that is no longer the case. This is a very common expression.

I am not going to worry about whether or not the company will go broke or not. I will let the chips fall where they may.

: Even though CF's explanation responds well to Julie's concern about using a positive 'tournure,' yours seems to fit the text. Without more context, I read the passage almost as an admonishment...It's high time you journalists did your job!

Discussion
CF http://www.answers.com/topic/let-the-chips-fall-where-they-m... >>> No matter what the consequences, as in I'm going to tell the truth about what happened, and let the chips fall where they may. This metaphoric term alludes to chopping wood and is usually joined to a statement that ONE SHOULD DO WHAT IS RIGHT(that is, the woodcutter should pay attention to the main task of cutting logs and not worry about small chips).
