Hi Lori! Re Dr Timm's note, I think I saw an English copy of Eckermann at the Oxfam shop in Arnold (Nottingham). Unfortunately they don't open till 10am (BST).
Also, I'd better post this before someone else does: "a 'feel' for the country"
