Kommunikations- und Kaffeepause

German to English Social Sciences International Org/Dev/Coop Conference break
Not a topic this time but a coffee break - and I don't think "communication and coffee break" sounds too good.

Thanks

coffee break and networking (opportunity)

Like it or not, but I've found this quite often as an item on conference agendas. See examples:

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks everyone. In fact, several of the proposed answers sound good - but Steffen's was the one I liked best. "

coffee and socializing

Could be listed at such on the conference schedule sheet.
Would be more in the direction of getting to know each other.

lunch and learn

I'm not sure of your context, but these type of breaks were called "lunch & learns" in two companies I worked for. This can apply to networking situations or to sessions where you can go an learn something (e.g. computer skills etc).
