Ich denke, dass es eher um die Beurteilung eines zu behandelnden Zahns (oder mehrerer Zähne geht), um die richtige Behandlungsart festzulegen:

Zuvor werden natürlich eine Reihe von Untersuchungen (klinisch, Röntgen usw. durchgeführt)

damit man nicht alle 2 Monate den Zahnarzt wechselt.
