: Agreed. The "obra social" is always a pain. Endless lists of the Caja's "good works", but no mention of their charging the highest banking fees in Spain.

It depends on what country it is destined to. Basically, obra social is a health care institution in Argentina, usually trade union-run or instituted by large companies for their personnel.

: This is unrelated to trade unions or large companies. Spanish "cajas de ahorro" are obliged to earmark a certain percentage of their turnover for "obra social". -
