English term

stalling out effect to blend

English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering fin molding line
Changer Extend Timing:
The changer could shift prior to reaching its full back feed position, and possibly miss the intended pickup hole if the extend timing is too early (-160). There will be more movement in the feed bar as it moves farther from the forward point when the changer switches. The normal motion of the press moves the stock forward station about 10:00 and continuing until around 4:00. If this additional feed bar movement peaks at around 12:00, it will further accelerate the stock forward. The stock can be flung ahead of its normal position if this happens before the stock retard pins engage. This will result in the loss of progression.

Changer Retract Timing:
If the retract timing is tool early, the feed bar will appear to stall or come to a stop on its way toward forward feed. This might lead to more wear on the bearings. Advancing the timing (larger values) will cause ****this stalling out effect to blend better**** with the normal stopping that occurs at forward feed.

...could you help me understand this part? does it mean that this effect ceases the stall condition (stall ...out)??

Advancing the timing will cause the feed bar to behave more normally. The times of stopping will become more like the correct stopping times.

See explanation ...

It means that if the feed bar is set to retract sooner than it should, then it (feed bar) will seem to want to stop (stall) when it is almost done with the forward motion. If this happens, it will cause the bearings to wear out quicker. So, in order to keep this from happening, you can raise the timing setting and what this will do is make that "stalling" effect (when it acts like it's going to stop running) run smoother as it comes to the end of the forward movement which is when it normally stops.
