Hindi speaking people sometimes change the name of others out of anger, annoyance or sometimes even due to immense love for someone. For example, a father calls the girl named Pooja as PoojDii if she does not obey his orders but the same person calls her as Pooju out of sheer love and affection when she follows his advice or does some good work.
