This text is about a photo report done in 1939, and it makes constant reference to the photographer's "quadern de contactes" which seems to be a notebook of small format prints of the photos he took. An example sentence is: "Còpia fotogràfica feta per Robert Capa, corresponent a la imatge número 101 del seu quadern de contactes."

I'm not sure if it's already too late to answer your question, but here it goes.
We usually call "contact sheets / fulls de contacte" the printing paper where mini prints (the same size as the frames) are printed. You then use these sheets to choose whichever photographs you need to enlarge.
I believe what your photographer had was a collection of contact sheets put togeter to form a kind of notebook.
When translating the term I think I'd use "contact sheets" in plural to give the idea of a bunch of sheets notebook-shaped.
