根据奥地利的高等教育制度,一个奥地利大学的毕业生相当于中国的硕士研究生,相当于英美等国家的Master of Arts 或Master of Science.这种在姓名前冠学位称呼的习惯在奥地利历史悠久。但目前只用于正式场合和书面体中。此类的称呼还有:Doctor - 博士,Diplom-Ingenieur - 工程师。
