English term

proprietary press cleaner

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Printing & Publishing printers
It's about a microprocessor-controlled digital scale to weigh and mix printing inks.
A warning about cleaning the machine reads:
"Many solvents and proprietary press cleaners are very aggresive and should only be used with great caution".

I appreciate your help, thanks!

productos de limpieza de la prensa patentados

proprietary means protected by copyright or patent. In this case they are talking about cleaning agents which depending on the area your translation is aimed at could be translated into Spanish as agentes limpiadores, productos de limpieza, limpiadores para prensa patentados. Hope this helps.

I believe there's in English the term "patented" for patentado. So it occurred to me, by analogy with the following examples, that
"especialidades" might do. The following comes from Eurodic:

limpiadores propietarios para imprentas

I would use "propietarios" rather than "patentados" because the warning most probably refers to the aggressive properties of specific products and not to the property (patent ownership) of the formula.

My best assumption
Good luck!
