español term
personal
español al inglés
Arte/Literatura
Periodismo
Hello. I don't understand the use of the adjective "personal" in this context. The text is an editorial for a cultural magazine for a Spanish region:
"...con imágenes inusuales o insólitas de la región tomadas con otra mirada por nuestros fotógrafos más personales."
Thanks for your help :)

Se podría reescribir como "nuestros fotógrafos más exclusivos"

: I think this is more the right track -- similar choices might be "noted" or "notable"

Entiendo que el fotógrafo se salió de su línea habitual de tomar fotos de personas para tomar fotos de paisajes.

sounds like the photographers whose work gets into the National Geographic "photos of 2007" collection etc. for being really original

The word "individual" is much more faithful to the source word ("personal") than other choices (eg, "particular," "singular," "original," "exclusive," "intimate" and even "idiosyncratic") -- and it also exactly conveys the sense needed here.

: can't agree with you that this is better than the other suggestions, and it doesn't really work here

I agree with you that the other suggestions are quite good -- I just found it interesting that a word like "individual" (which is so closely related to "personal" -- ie, 'faithful') also seems to convey the sense of the source term.
