Discussion

Sherry Godfrey (asker) Dec 20, 2007:
Hello Allegro. This is a Commercial Registry stamp at the end of a deed of amendment to the Articles of Association of a company. To be honest, I can't read the entire stamp (poor reproduction). It does end with "ADAPTADA la Sociedad a la Ley de Sociedades Anonimas". Thanks!

What kind of notarial document is this? transfer of land? something else? and is there anything in the following text to indicate where the "nota" is being entered?

Taxability Notice / Taxability form

Absent further context, this would be to advise recipients or authorities of the payment and it's being subject to the tax mentioned, similar to a US form 1099

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks Richard and everyone. I found a little more info at this kudoz question (http://www.proz.com/kudoz/454729)...basically, it is a notice of liability for the payment of the tax."

certificate of lien

The text refers to an entry (or pehaps a marginal note or annotation) in the Land Registry.
There is a tax lien (or an attachment on the property) to payment of a tax. In other words, the property is attached to payment of the tax.

The tax travels with the property. If you buy the house you are buying also the tax debt. Consequently, there is an entry in the Land Registry for public information recording this situation.

I am sorry. I made a mistake when writing the suggested term.

The term I meant to suggest is "entry of lien".
The explanation, however, is good.
Example sentence:

An entry of lien shall be recorded on their respective lands and commercial registers

Peer comment(s):

agree getraductor : ***marginal note or annotation) in the Land Registry*** como lo indicas arriba no estaría nada mal. Felicidades a todos en Navidad y el Próximo 2008.
