新西兰政府的法律机构，网上有人译成总检察长，但似乎不对，因为文中又提到Attorney-General（总检察长）。有人译成政府首席律师，似乎有些道理。

The Solicitor-General is the permanent head of a government department (the Crown Law office). Every government department has a Minister. The Minister for the Crown Law Office is the Attorney-General.

when I was in the public service, the Minister was 部长, and the permanent head, in my department the 'General-Secretary', was '秘书长'.
