English term

scale-out

English to French Tech/Engineering Physics
After reactor automatic shutdown due to steam turbine trip, the casing of the low pressure turbine B, in which a scale-out was found in the vibration indications for the bearings, was removed and a visual inspection was conducted.

The turbine speed, opening of the regulating valve, vibration and eccentricity of the turbine shaft immediately before the event were checked and an instantaneous scale-out was found in the vibration indications for the 5th and 6th bearing of the low pressure turbine.
