Σάλο είχε προκαλέσει το 1989 ανώνυμος πειρατής που για λίγες μέρες απορρύθμισε το πρόγραμμα της ΕΡΤ, με αποτέλεσμα τις πρώτες πρωινές ώρες να αναμεταδίδει ακατάλληλα προγράμματα, και μάλιστα με καλό σήμα. Συχνά πυκνά όμως γίνονταν και άλλες προσπάθειες τηλεπειρατείας με το λεγόμενο «τηλεοπτικό χίονι» να εισβάλλει στις οθόνες των τηλεθεατών, αλλά και με προβολές ταινιών από βίντεο κλάμπ τις ώρες που δεν μεταδιδόταν πρόγραμμα της ΕΡΤ.

Cinema Mode circuitry (3:2 pulldown switch) identifies original film-based content from DVDs, then reassembles the frame sequence to more accurately reproduce the original 24-frame-per-second material.

TV snow/snowy picture
Only "Medium" because a snowy picture is a result of a poor signal or atmospheric interference whereas in this case this is piracy so I'm not entirely sure.
