автор проекта - это обычно один архитектор или несколько архитекторов, т.е. конкретные люди (фамилии). Фирма или бюро работает над воплощением / разработкой проекта, но автор - это конкретное лицо (иногда лица). Это точно - жена-архитектор с 20+ летним стажем проконсультировала :-))

This project for a structural engineering firm sought to reconcile 5 significant themes: a restricted site, the use of recycled building materials, the incorporation of solar design concepts, interdisciplinary collaboration, and structural expressionism.

John Shnier:
**The author of this project** is obviously part of a vicarious dialogue. The design that has been attempted is about two wonderful, simple volumes, one solid, one glass, in balance. However, I believe that its essence has been lost on the designer, as the building inevitably collapses under the weight of its own design 'neediness'. The manifestation of essence is a noble ambition, simple form has given way to stylish shape. The result is an earnest project that is fun and photogenic it could have been very beautiful but it disappoints in its execution.

I think that the author has raw talent. Executing more work may eventually lead the work away from the self-absorbed, idiosyncratic detailing. It takes confidence not to jam every detail with the type of stylization that takes away from this project's lasting quality.
