German term
Lösedorn
German to English

Mechanics / Mech Engineering
I am told that this is a tool with "Griff wie ein Schraubendreher, Klinge mit Loch" - does anybody know what this is called in English?

I've translated a similar case and I am fairly certain that this is the term you're looking for.

Comment: "In the end, the answer came from the client... - ...who uses the generic term "mounting tool" to refer to this really rather specialized tool. I think this sounds like a cop-out, but if that's what their people call it, I guess it's hard to argue.
