German term

Rückbereitschaft

German to English Tech/Engineering Mining & Minerals / Gems
I am working on a mining text and this one word is causing me difficulties. I can only find two references to it in Google! For some context, the whole paragraph is:

"Gegenüber dem Unterstützungsausbau hat der gebirgsverbundene Ankerausbau deutliche
Vorteile. Die Ausbauelemente sind leichter zu handhaben, die Arbeitsvorgänge Laden
und Ausbauen können parallelisiert werden, im Abbaubereich ist eine ständige
Rückbereitschaft der Antriebe leicht darstellbar."

Thanks in advance.

Discussion

Jessica West (asker) Aug 1, 2008:
Hi Kim - "drivage" is being used for "Antriebe".
Kim Metzger Aug 1, 2008:
What are you using for Antriebe?

advancing capacity

I understand “rücken” in the sense of moving forward, advancing:

“Bereitschaft” could be capacity or ability

Heres’ what Bucksch, Dico of Geological Engineering, suggests:
rücken, zu Felde rücken (mining): to advance (overhand stoping)

agree Kim Metzger : Any idea what "darstellbar" means here?/Ah, that's a new one for me.

agree hazmatgerman (X) : Kucera agrees; for capacity "suitability for advancing" might also fit in context. 'Darstellbar' can also be interpreted as "communicable to a prospective buyer" within a PR context.
