I found this in two different spellings, but same term.
I know what it refers to, but not the corresponding term in italian (if there is one?). so far I've been translating it as "intaglio per ridurre la pressione sul tendine di Achille" but I think it can be improved. I haven't found the term in any of the shoe glossaries here on proz or online which were sugested by proz members in other threads.

Nei riferimenti e nella figura si parla di spoiler, specificando che in alcuni modelli questo è incurvato per non dare pressone al tendine d'Achille.. nel secondo riferimento parla di imbottitura protettiva, ma non penso sia quello che stai cercando.

| ottimo suggerimento, credo che lo spoiler corrisponda al termine inglese "collar" (sto trovando nel mio testo molto spesso "padded collar for comfort") e che la presenza del "achille's notch" sul collar ("spoiler") si possa tradurre con "spoiler con intaglio a V". |

si tratta di un cuscinetto da mettere sul retropiede della scarpa che crea uno spessore dietro il tallone

| non sono sicura, dalle mie ricerche (e anche da quello che mi sembra di capire dal testo che sto traducendo) si tratta in realtà di quell'intaglio che si trova al centro del tallone delle scarpe sportive, che fa sì che il tallone non "seghi" il tendine di Achille. non so se mi sono spiegata..! |
