Spanish term
llamadas de insistencia
Spanish to English
Other
Marketing / Market Research
These are calls made to potential customers (in Spain)after an initial mailing - I'm thinking of just "follow-up calls", but that doesn't really convey the kind of nuisance marketing calls they're describing...any ideas?
"La acción se cierra con una batería de llamadas de insistencia, para recordar el envío y solicitar una entrevista."

(a barrage of) follow-up calls
Since you have "batería" in the original, you can use "barrage" and thus communicate the "nuisance factor" using relatively neutral language.

direct-mail follow-up/cold calls
They´re neither "cold calls" nor simply "follow-up" calls, but rather somewhere in between. Having worked in direct sales for a couple of years in New Jersey (right out of high school and before going to college), I´d go with one of these, as they convey the idea that direct-mail contact has been made or attempted, and that the call is being made in this specific context. If the person never read the "mailer," the call may still be somewhat "cold," but at least the marketer has a legitimate "in" to place it (i.e., the call): to see if the mailer was received (and "to get their opinion"). :-)

Given the Lisa´s last comment, it´s important that the term be one that the agency would use to describe their activities. In this context, other options might be "direct mail calls" or simply "direct-mail follow-ups" (understood as calls made following-up on "mailings" that have already been sent).
I hope this helps!
Final suggestions:
llamadas de insistencia = direct-mail follow-up calls / direct-mail follow-ups / direct-mail calls
