In past centuries, Tyndale claimed that by his English translation of the Bible, the ‘ploughboy would know more than the priest’, which, by God’s grace, took place. The artisan may not have read widely but he had a basic knowledge of the Bible. Today many working people are growing up ***with little learning of any kind*** and when, by the grace of God, their lives are touched, we need to take them from where they are, teaching carefully the authority of all the Bible, where we are from, the origin of sin and the great salvation we have in Christ.
