Dutch term

ten effecte rechtens

Dutch to English Law/Patents Law (general) part of a writ
Geschiedende deze betekening ter voldoening aan het voorschrift der wet en ten effecte rechtens. If it weren't for the voldoening aan het...bit, I would translate it as in accordance with the law. Any suggestions?
Proposed translations (English)
4 with legal effect
3 in conformity with the law

Discussion

Buck (asker) May 22, 2009:
thanks everyone I have to decided to go with ipso jure.
Buck (asker) May 21, 2009:
de jure I had also considered this option, but was thrown off by the fact that "in accordance with the law" appeared before it in the sentence.

Proposed translations

5 mins

with legal effect

"with effect at law" if you want to reflect the stiff and old fashioned lexicon used
Note from asker:
That was fast! Sounds good to me, but of course I have to wait before awarding points. Merci bien!

in conformity with the law

I haven't come across this phrase but that would be my interpretation.
