The choice of imaging mode determines the nature of the ultrasound beam.
For example, the 2D or B-Mode is a scanning mode, while Doppler is a stationary or ***unscanned*** mode.
A stationary ultrasound beam concentrates energy in a single
location.
A moving or scanned ultrasound beam disperses the energy over an area such that the beam is concentrated on the same area for only a fraction of the time as that of an unscanned mode.

sebbene "campionatura" è l'equivalente italiano di scanner, qui la differenza è nel fatto che essendo il doppler un metodo "statico" permette di concentrarsi su una zona, cose che il movimento dello scanner (Tipo Tac) non permette. Inoltre anche le frequenze Doppler vengono campionate. Dovresti lasciare, a mio parere, il riferimento alla tecnica di scansione per fare capire la differenza che si vuole metter in risalto.
