It's an excerpt from the review of a performance of Verdi's Requiem. The meaning is clear, but I'm having trouble with the individual words. I have more to come and will be posting another question. It doesn't have to be a literal translation as long as it renders the meaning of the entire frase. Granzie in anticipo!
Context:
"During his impassioned account of the “Ingemisco”…, I could not have been the only Pavarotti fan thinking of the maestro…. And, let’s face it, that’s what Verdi’s ***setting*** of the sacred Latin “Ingemisco” text is: an unabashed and lyrically burnished tenor aria.”

Oppure puoi dire "lettura". Se non ti piace il sostantivo puoi semplicementen dire: "il modo in cui Verdi ha musicato / reso in musica l'Ingemisco".

Riferito naturalmente al testo latino del Requiem, al quale Verdi ha aggiunto la musica.

"Allestimento" riguarda più il campo teatrale e fa pensare più a una specifica rappresentazione di un'opera lirica (l'insieme di interpreti, orchestra, direttore, regia, costumi, ecc..).

Mi piace "resa musicale". Ma mi ha fatto pensare anche a "allestimento musicale". Che te ne pare?

e poi possono seguire altre...come "traslato / resa /coloritura musicale", ecc...

Ciao Umberto - mi piace anche il tuo suggerimento. Adesso, sono incerta fra "resa" e "trasposizione". Ci dormirò sopra. Come dicono, "la notte porta consiglio".

Non vi è per Verdi modo più prorio per rendere la liricità dell'Ingemisco che farlo cantare ad una v

Ri-rispondo.
Verdi non era solo un musicista, lavorava anche sulla resa dei testi originali, li vestiva con le voci, vedi proprio il modo in cui ha compreso profondamente l'intera opera di Shakespeare.
