Hello, I am translating the abstract for a research paper and the title is "comparativa al diagnóstico de salud en España y Sudáfrica".

I just found the terminology a bit muddled because of the use of "comparativa" with "al" and then, of course, "diagnóstico" with "salud". I think, however, that the correct translation here is simply "A diagnostic comparison between health in Spain and South Africa".

Can anyone confirm this or offer a better suggestion?

The text of the abstract is not about diagnosis or anything technical, it just goes over the main causes of sickness in death in the two countries and touches on water supply, illiteracy and malnutrition.

Diagnóstico The thing is, I just don't think they are really talking about diagnosis at all, just a general comparison of health, because they also go over demographics, clean water supply and causes of disease but at no point mention doctor evaluation or tests or even medical centres, just the general state of health.

I think the title in Spanish is incorrect. As written, it would be "Comparison of Health diagnosis...".

"Diagnostic comparison" refers to medical studies including diagnoses, such as the link below (and I don't even like that use). That's why I feel there's no need for "Diagnostic" or "Diagnosis" in English.
