Spanish term

en este con los órganos tubulares

Spanish to English Art/Literary Music
Second question:

My draft so far:
On behalf of our rich cultural heritage, Guanajuato has undertaken a project that finds its utmost value in a set of conservation and restoration tasks carried out by the state, civil institutions, and community groups. This shared work is intended to ??? the most notable examples of that heritage, ??? the pipe organs that form part of Guanajuato’s ??? treasure.

Discussion

Manuel Matias Aug 24, 2009:
*tube organs -> pipe organs Actually, there *is* such a thing as a "tube organ". That would be an electronic organ in which the amplifier devices are vaccuum tubes. And that's why the alarm in my brain didn't go off when I wrote "tube organ" meaning "pipe organ". Sorry if that misled or confused you, Patricia.

I'm having a bad relationship with "false friends" lately!
Joel Schaefer Aug 24, 2009:
By the way, no such thing as "tube organs". Tubular organs could be órganos internos tubulares in a medical/anatomical context but it's not a musical term.

Canino-to-English Funny that ProZ doesn't include this language pair. I think that's just arf-arf-arfful!

... pipe organs

classic organs where compressed air is directed through pipes (as opposed to electronic, Hammond, etc. organs which initially were designed to imitate pipe organs' sound)
Note from asker:
Mircea: Thanks for trying to help, but as you can see from my translation, I've correctly translated pipe organ (obviously, I know what the book's subject matter is), but I don't understand how to express "en este con" in the phrase.

in this case the tube organs

If my intuition is right, there is some kind of error in the original text, and it might have meant something like "en este caso con los órganos tubulares..."

You can find out if I am right or not: If I am, then the work you have at hand should be a collection of several texts by different authors, each one about a different piece of physical property; and this particular chapter should be about those organs.

NOTE: It seems that I typed faster than I was thinking and I wrote "tube organs" instead of pipe organs. My apologies.
