Within the description of "Ganadería semiestabulada", I am having trouble with the section between the asterisks:

"Es un sistema mixto de ganadería intensiva, que resulta de la combinación entre la ganadería estabulada y la no estabulada. Durante el verano, el ganado se alimenta en pastos naturales, mientras que en las épocas de escasez de hierba **es el ganado el que le propociona la alimentación.** "

Is it saying that when there is no grass for grazing, the livestock is fed on (other) livestock??

As far as your question is concerned I think Pat's explanation of a typo is likely because there's another typo in "propociona" (which interestingly enough does not occur in version "1" of the text).

However... I suspect that text "2" is closer to the "source" text because it refers to "... se guarda en establos" which ties in with the title of the paragraph, "Ganadería semiestabulada".

Several versions of your text seem to exist I've found several versions of your text on the Internet, I've copied two below. They seem to be used as learning materials and to have been slightly adapted from a "source" text. I can't find any evidence to identify which the "source" text might have been.

1) -Ganadería semiestabulada. Es un sistema mixto de ganadería intensiva, resultante de la combinación de los dos anteriores. Durante el verano, el ganado se alimenta en pastos naturales, mientras que en las épocas de escasez de hierba es el ganado el que le proporciona la alimentación. Se practica en zonas húmedas y en regiones de alta montaña.

agree Justin Peterson : The literal translation would be "It is the cattle which feed him/her" but that doesn´t make sense here. Its a typo for "ganadero"

If it walks and talks like a farmer, it's a ganadero ...

I certainly wouldn't use "cattle-raiser, herdsman or stockman" which all sound very odd/quaint/too specific IMO.
The word generally used in English for "agricultor/ganadero" is "farmer".

Pig farmer, beef farmer, dairy farmer, sheep farmer, etc... all livestock farming.
