In the description of one of the holes on a golf course:
Par 4 con ligero dog-leg a la izquierda con un ****drive franco**** y en el que se precisará un tiro con un hierro medio-corto a un green alargado y protegido por dos profundos bunquers a la derecha.
Are they saying it's a long drive? Or is it something else entirely?

I think perhaps that "franco" simply means that when on the tee, you have a clear, unobstructed drive up the fairway (i.e. no bunkers, trees to interfere with your shot).
