During the machine start, it is necessary to carry out a set up operation: the two shift pistons close the machine, whilst a linear encoder measures the stroke calculating the actual die height. Subsequently, at closed machine configuration, all four half-nuts independently move in order to obtain the correct centering between their teeth and the tie bars teeth pitches.
