English term

Accuator

English to French Tech/Engineering Transport / Transportation / Shipping power whellchairs
Part of the electrical components of a power wheelchair

"MK660 w/Accuator"

One reference gave me "actionneur", but I don't know if it's the right way to go.
Proposed translations (French)

Discussion

Daniel Bouchard (asker) Mar 19, 2010:
I asked the client again and they told me the actual term is "actuator control". This makes it easier... METAGRAPHE and FX Fraipont are right.
Daniel Bouchard (asker) Mar 18, 2010:
Actually, the original is "MK660 w/ACC", I asked the client what ACC stood for and they answered "Accuator", so I presume this is right. At least it's sure to start with "ACC".
kashew Mar 18, 2010:
Typo? T, there's a heck of a lot of "typos?" - just Google accuator to see them.
Tony M Mar 18, 2010:
actuator or accumulator? Loos like a typo either way, but hard to know which it might be — one wrong letter, or several missed out?

Can you find out any more about these particular wheelchairs?

It seems to me that 'accumulator' is more likely, simply because it says 'with', suggesting this could be something that might or might not be supplied with the chair; whereas one would have to assume that the 'actuator' was an integral part of it... but all this is pure supposition, of course

commande d'actionneur

ACC = Actuator Control

"Controller with actuator" Régulateur avec .../...
