Italian term

frequenza propria

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
"La notevole rigidezza e la massa contenuta assicurano un’elevata frequenza propria della struttura determinando un comportamento ottimale nei confronti delle vibrazioni con il risultato finale di assicurare l’isolamento tra strada e abitacolo e il conseguente abbattimento delle tipiche rumorosità di rotolamento."

The trouble is that I've found a wealth of suggestions, but I'd have to know a lot more about physics/automotive engineering to choose one intelligently: eigenfrequency, self frequency, natural frequency, intrinsic frequency seem to be the most likely contenders.

natural frequency

Where:
k = stiffness of the beam
m = mass of weight
ωn = radian frequency (radians per second)

From the radian frequency, the natural frequency, fn, can be found by simply dividing ωn by 2π.
When damping is small, the resonant frequency is approximately equal to a natural frequency of the system, which is a frequency of unforced vibrations.
Example sentence:

Consider a beam, fixed at one end and having a mass attached to the other, this would be a single degree of freedom (SDoF) oscillator. Once set into motion it will oscillate at its natural frequency. For a single degree of freedom oscillator, a system in
