Well, the problem seems to be solved at last!:) To spread financial statements or financial statements data means to change its format so that a bank could use it for its purposes. A colleague has just found the definition in some glossary. Many, many thanks to everybody!

Now we know what is being spread Yelena, I assume that the text you have just posted should be in quotes and is part of your source text. In which case, it is the data (some of which is core financial statement data) that is being spread, not the financial statements.

If you could give us more text before and after that phrase it would help. If its a risk management model, I don't think that would be something as simple as compiling spreadsheets.

Well, I have a text about a risk-management model used by banks. It's a marketing text. They speak about advantages of the model one of which is a possibility to spread financial statements. Hope it will help.
