The phrase occurs in an invitation for young graduates to submit their CVs to a company: "Siamo alla ricerca di **profili gestionali** che abbiano voglia di affrontare nuove sfide assieme a noi, sia temporanee che permanenti". I understand the concept, but can't think how to put the idea over in English. Can anyone help? Sarah (sizzling in Rome).

It depends what they want really.
"Management potential" would do if they're looking for enthusiastic young people with a degree who know how to get things done but "a management background" might be better if they want a recent graduate with a little bit of experience or a business degree.

i would turn this the other way round - a job profile is a bit too formal
