Dear all,
I've tried to find the above, but I cannot find it even in English.
I know that Propan-2-ol, 2-Propanol, alcohol isopropílico and isopropanol are synonyms, but I cannot find 2-ispropyl-alcohol and, therefore, I'm not 100% sure I can translate it simply as "alcohol isopropílico 60%"
Here goes some context: The use of alcohol-based hand rubs serves to reduce hospital-acquired infections. Many products of this type are now on offer and it is essential to know how to rank their efficacy. A sequence of tests is proposed here to compare any given new alcohol-based solution against the reference solution (60% 2-isopropyl-alcohol) with 30 s of contact time

En el original hay un error: o se utiliza el nombre "isopropílico" o el indicador numérico "2" con la terminación "-ol", pero los dos al mismo tiempo, no.
El nombre preferido en la nomenclatura actual de la IUPAC (el PIN, IUPAC Preferred Name) es "propan-2-ol".

El nombre preferido en la nomenclatura actual de la IUPAC (el PIN, IUPAC Preferred Name) es "propan-2-ol".
