Portuguese term

Encaminhamento da informação

Portuguese to English Law/Patents Other Shipping Regulations
The sentence is: "A descrição do sistems deve descrever a estrutura e O ENCAMINHAMENTO DA INFORMACAO dentro da parte central do system, e os seus principais subsistemas."

I have put, so far:

The description of the system must cover the structure and ...(the sending of the information??).... within the central part of the system, and its principal subsystems.

I also query "within the central part etc". Makes sense, or not?
Thank you all for your help.

remittance of the information

Just to be more precise, as remittance would mean exactly "to send something to somebody/somewhere". But it will depend upon the context. Here are some alternatives that may fit, according to what has already been stated by other fellows:

Routing = direction
Flow = process, way
Forward = send something you received to somebody else
Delivery = actual arrival of something somewhere
