Portuguese term

Indicar formalmente preposto apto a representá-la junto à CONTRATANTE,

Portuguese to English Law/Patents Other Shipping Regulations
......(continuation of sentence) o qual deve responder pela fiel execução deste Contrato, bem como comparecer à CODESP sempre que convocado.

I don't get the preposto apto, nor the representá-la which, of course, is a feminine "it"! Maybe the contracting party is feminine but it could be either.

I would appreciate someone unravelling this jumble of words.

MTIA.
