If any colleague(s) out there have this specialized knowledge, their assistance would be much appreciated. This is not my direct question; I am posing it to you all on behalf of Vasco Caini, an Italian researcher and translator of original 16th C. Hispanic Philippine history documents into Italian.
This has to do with a historical debate on whether "Mazava" is truly the island of "Limasawa", in
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mazaua. (Pigafetta's account of the first circumnavigation of the globe, original lost, confusion created by the first faulty translations by translators who were neither knowledgeable in navigation _nor_ professional translators either as they may have added or altered the original.)
This is just on the off chance that someone among you might be able to provide assistance. Replies preferred in Spanish.
