@ tony Thank you for your comments. After reading the input below, I understand that it's referring to specific device limitations, as opposed to the limitations of the device. Thank you for your assistance in clarifying that.

Oui, absolument. Merci encore, Gilles.
neutral Tony M : I'm pretty sure this is a mis-interpretation of the EN source text; please see my own answer for fuller explanation.

contraintes de périphérique / de matériel

I'm not certain of the correct way to express this in FR, though I'm sure some of our FR-native-speakers will be kind enough to jump in and help there.

However, I am pretty sure of the meaning of the EN source text — I don't think this is anything to do with 'the limitations of the devices themselves' (which wouldn't make much technical sense in this context), but rather, 'restrictions on which devices may be used' (etc.) — 'limiting to certain devices'

sorry: I meant "mais pas très certaine de ma trad"
Peer comment(s):

neutral Tony M : But I don't think it's restrictions on the use of the périphérique, but rather, restrictions as to which périphérique this content can be used on. the context seems to be about content usage rights.

Thanks Tony! maybe "utilisation" is ambiguous here!
