Russian term
по жизненным показаниям (аборт)
Russian to English
Medical
Medical (general)
surgical terms
Hi guys,
I'm translating a scene (in a novel) that takes place in the operation theater and I have a problem with a few terms, so I hope some of you with (hopefully) some surgical experience could suggest the right term or expression.
по жизненным показаниям (хирург говорит, что может делать аборт на поздних сроках только "по жизненным показаниям")
Thank you very much!!

Given that this is a novel, not a legal text, I feel like this is a valid addition.
