Hello. I have this text in wich some prince is happy that the king is dying. He just found out that he is going to be king, he is a little drunk and he shouts: Long live Bang Ghedalia! (Ghedalia is his name). I've found this "Long live Bang Someone" in several contexts on the internet, but I don't understand the meaning of that "Bang". Please help me with some suggestions. Thank you.

ben Gedaliah
Just a shot in the dark here :)
I think you might be dealing with a typo. The contexts you have mentioned seem to have "Bang" as a first (?) name in other languages, but still a name, without any specific meaning. However, you can find several persons called "Ben Ghedalia" or even more of them called "Ben Gedaliah", as part of a Hebrew name. Also, are you working on a transcript? The author might have transferred the "g" in Ghedalia to "ben" and then tried to come up with some spelling that would make sense.

Comment: "Thanks a lot. It was indeed a spelling error in the transcript."

Sau bang ar putea exprima surpriza prinţului la aflarea veştii. Ceva de genul : şi dintr-odată/pe neașteptate sunt rege!
