Persian (Farsi) term

تاج و تجت

Non-PRO Persian (Farsi) to English Art/Literary History Abbas I
Greetings,

Please, what does تاج و تجت mean here?

By the way, I'm just wondering if تجت might possibly be a misprint for تخت; however, even if this is the case I'm not sure of the exact translation.

شاه عباس همیشه نگران بود پسرانش درصدد تصاحب تاج و تجت برآیند

All the best, and many thanks,

Simon

throne

Literally means "crown an throne" as previous poster says.
But the common term used is English is Throne.
In your case it would be:
Shah Abbas was always afraid of his children laying claim to his throne.
