: Not really qualified, but this certainly seems to be what I'd expect. Just a little concerned because it says 'gain for...' instead of '... gain'; could this be hiding something...???

: If this is a control loop, I think it is indeed all about phasing the alternator to the existing supply, a classic phase control loop, even if there is a mechanical element involved. / Well, it certainly does in EN, I don't know about FR ;-)

I lost the gain en route - I just don't think the telecom phase-locked loop applies to generators at all

Also, as one would more usually expect to find 'phase control loop gain', it would be helpful to have more context, in particular as to how/where this appears, just in case the use of 'for' here has some specific but not immediately obvious significance.
