Aber ein Unterschied zwischen 8-base und 2-base dürfte in Kurven sein, die die Linsenfläche definieren. Soviel habe ich bis jetzt verstanden.

Nichts zu danken. Es war eine Herausforderung. Habe selber mal in einer Brillenfabrik gearbeitet und noch nie von 8-Base gehört.

Ich glaube, dass normale Sonnenbrille 2-base sind, was bedeutet, dass sie ganz wenig nach aussen gekrümt sind. Sportbrille sind wegen Windgeschwindigkeit (fahrel, laufen...) aber mehr nach aussen gekrümt, damit dieses Effekt erzogen wird:
