is there any sugar left ?

so if i say

are there any milk in the ketchen? or
is there any chair here?

are these last tow sentences correct or not?
and what is the point of saying ( is there any sugar left) since we can say (is there sugar left?)
and ( are there chairs here?)

The word ''any'' is used in negative sentences and questions, so you have used ''any'' correctly in the last two questions. But there is a mistake in the first question. It should be ''Is there any milk in the kitchen?'' because the word ''milk'' is uncountable.

When you use the word ''any'', you don't specify quantity or number.
